Systems.In this role, you will be joining a team supporting
customers, designing, implementing, and managing lab infrastructure
to meet the customer requirements. In this role, you will build,
configure, administer, and troubleshoot Linux servers and user
workstation hardware and software; design and implement
workgroup-scale networks; build and manage authentication,
file-share, and other collaboration servers to support groups of
heterogeneous client systems. You will work with cyber security
staff to develop and apply hardening steps for systems for
classified use to ICD-503 security controls, and other customer
standards. Document system configuration for new and existing
systems.Additional responsibilities include:Proactively maintain
and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a
24x7x365 uptime serviceEngineering of systems
administration-related solutions for various project and
operational needsMaintain best practices on managing systems and
services across all environmentsFault finding, analysis and of
logging information for reporting of performance
exceptionsProactively monitoring system performance and capacity
planningManage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades,
patches, hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network
hardwareCreate and modify scripts or applications to perform
tasksProvide input on ways to improve the stability, security,
efficiency, and scalability of the environmentCollaborate with
other teams and team members to develop automation strategies
anddeployment processesBecause of the need for consistent,
in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work
onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be
performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on
location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.* Please note

Education, Experience, & Skills
- Candidate must have a Top Secret/SCI security clearance
- Typically, a bachelor's degree in computer science or
information technology or related technical degree
- A combination of the following: Linux+, RHCE, RHCSA, LPIC- 1:
Linux Administrator, LPIC- 2
- Linux Engineer or LPIC- 3: Enterprise Linux Professional
Certification
- Previous working experience as a Linux Administrator for 5
year(s)
- In depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, etc.
- Familiarity with VMWare and virtualization concepts and/or
Docker or Podman Containers.
- Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting
- Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and
SNMP
- Ability to use verbal and written communication skills to
present information to a diverse population (technical and
non-technical).
- Ability to work well as a member of a team and
independently.
- Knowledge of existing virtual machine and cloud technologies
including principles and methods of scalability to match
workloads.
- Knowledge of multiple specialties such as operating systems,
database platforms, storage technologies, including knowledge of
administering operating systems like Red Hat Enterprise Linux and
Microsoft Server.
- Demonstrated experience working on remote Systems via use of
command line.
- Hands on experience integrating Linux servers in Active
Directory (or using LDAP/Kerberos)
- Experience installing and configuring basic services including
httpd/Apache, vftpd and sshd.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
- Ability to arrange things or actions in an order or pattern
according to a specific rule or set of dependencies.
- Experience with operating system update services such as WSUS,
YUM or DNF.
- Knowledge of the following technologies: Ansible modules,
PowerShell scripting, ELK Stack and Trellix Anti-Virus and
integrating Linux with Windows Active Directory
- Experience with centralized authentication technologies such as
LDAP and Active Directory domains in supporting (Windows/Linux)
cross-platform clients is desirable.
- You should be customer service oriented, attentive to detail,
self-motivated and work well in teams. Flexibility in approach to
finding solutions, the ability to understand and act on the
customer needs and priorities, and learn new technologies quickly
are some of the qualities a successful candidate will have.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience with enterprise level Windows Server operating
environments, including Windows
- Active Directory, Group Policy Management, SharePoint, Exchange
services
- Experience with monitoring solutions like ELK Stack
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): EC2, S3 and EFS storage
- DevOps and/or DevSecOps
- Experience with implementing Ansible modules and configuration
management with Git.
- Parallel system architectures, designing for high availability,
performance benchmarking, multi-level security, STIG hardening and
compliance, encryption in motion, data at rest encryption, software
designed data center (SDDC)
- Agile design methodologies
- Knowledge of encrypted communications and information security
/ assurance / cyber policies and proceduresPay InformationFull-Time
Salary Range: $75570 - $128480Please note: This range is based on
our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are
determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to:
business considerations, local market conditions, and internal
equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills,
