Volt is immediately hiring Heat Treat Operators in South Gate!

As a Heat Treat Operator you will:

Possesses thorough understanding of controlling and monitoring all heat treat furnaces as well as their limits and capabilities.
Prepares furnace loads, dependent upon material type and quantity allowable in furnace.
Verifies piece count and straightness and flatness of parts before and after material is heat treated.
Performs cold and hot straightening if necessary.
Conducts hardness inspection of material.
Oversees furnace light up and monitoring.

This is a Full-Time 2nd Shift Opportunity.

Monday to Friday 2:30pm-10:30pm Possible Overtime

Pay Rate: $21-23/hr

The ideal candidate will have:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
